Defendant Officers threw Plaintiff to the ground and attacked her with their arms, hands, and batons, beating her about her head and body, and ignored Plaintiff's statement that she is epileptic and prone to seizures. Officers then restrained Plaintiff using excessively tightened zip ties, causing Plaintiff to lose feelin in her fingers, and the Defendant Officers ignored Plaintiff's request to loosen them. During the assault, Defendant Officers, including Defendant Dowling, pulled Plaintiff's shift over her head, exposing her stomach and bra, and Defendant officers ignored Plaintiff's request to pull her shirt back down, instead continuing to laugh and harass her. Defendant officers then lifted Plaintiff off the ground and pushed her across the Brooklyn Bridge with her shirt pulled behind her neck, continuing to ignore Plaintiff's requests to pull her shirt down. Defendant officers then pulled Plaintiff's pants down to her ankles, exposing Plaintiff's buttocks and genitals, and the Defendant officers refused to oblige Plaintiff's request to pull her pants back up, continuing to mock and humiliate her. While Plaintiff was standing nearly naked. the Defendant officers forced her to walk from the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge to its end. Plaintiff's request to clothe herself or have a female police officer clothe her were continuously ignored my the Defendants. Defendant Officers then forced Plaintiff to stand nearly naked for approximately 15 minutes before they haphazardly clothed her and placed her in the transport van. Upon arriving at the precinct, Plaintiff's pants fell to her ankles, and the Defendant officers continued to ridicule Plaintiff and forced her to stand with her pants down before finally finding a female police officer to assist her.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.564800/gov.uscourts.nysd.564800.3.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/60122118/beach-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Williams, Antoinette, et al. vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2019-08-27","disposition_date":"2021-11-01","payout_amount":90000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"028332/2019E","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","officer_name":"Garcia, Carlos","summary":"On March 16, 2019, Plaintiffs were in a vehicle when NYPD officers Ariana Esteban, Carlos Garcia, Gerardo Decaro and Lewis Nunez and unnamed officers handcuffed and falsely arrested them.
