Without probable cause, PO Ali Salem and unknown POs John Does 1 - 3 approached and ordered Plaintiff Ward to produce his license and registration. Plaintiff Ward promptly complied. Co-Plaintiff Priestley asked why Plaintiff Ward was being stopped and the POs punched and handcuffed Co-Plaintiff Priestley. Both Plaintiffs were taken to the 70th Precinct, where POs assaulted Plaintiff Ward. Plaintiff Ward was given two desk appearance tickets for tinted widows and disorderly conduct. All charges against Plaintiff Ward were ultimately resolved in his favor.
