Plaintiff began to run and police arrived with guns and told him to stop. Officers Joan Ferrelar, Angel Lujan, and Bryant Zampella handcuffed plaintiff and placed him in a police car. He was brought to the precinct. He was assaulted by another inmate while sleeping and tried to defend himself but officers broke it up. Officers separated plaintiff from the other individual. Plaintiff then began to feel back pain and requested to go to the hospital. He fell asleep while awaiting EMS and woke up to the desk sergeant kicking his back. EMS came into the cell and took plaintiff to the hospital and was treated for a back spasm that resulted from the assaults at the precinct. The next day, a complaint was filed against plaintiff charging him with attempted robbery and menacing.
