Plaintiff noticed a police van following her.  As the van drew nearer, a male from inside the van yelled, \"Yo, son, come here!\" The van stopped, defendants exited the vehicle and surrounded plaintiff. Clerge demanded to see plaintiff's ID. Clerge insisted plaintiff tell him what was inside the bag she was carrying. Plaintiff showed the soda she bought. After plaintiff mentioned being harassed, Clerge arrested and handcuffed her, and she was taken to the 81st precinct. A witness went to the 81st Precinct to file a complaint based on the misconduct he had witnessed. During processing, Clerge twisted plaintiff's arm behind her back and forced her into the cell violently. Plaintiff asked for medical attention for her arm and shoulder, officers denied the request. Plaintiff suffered an asthma attack and begged for urgent medical care, but was refused. Plaintiff was arraigned and released on her own recognizance. Facey made false allegations and testimony about the incident to the Brooklyn DA for prosecution.
