Plaintiff was smoking a cigarette awaiting his cab when the defendant officers grabbed Plaintiff by the arm and hit him over the head with a flashlight.\n\nAt no time did Plaintiff commit a crime or violate the law in any way, nor did defendant police officers have an objective basis to accuse Plaintiff of committing a crime. Plaintiff was unlawfully arrested by defendant police officers, and unreasonably tightly restrained with metal handcuffs. Plaintiff was placed transported to the 77th Precinct against his will where he was fingerprinted, photographed, interrogated on two (2) separate occasions, and lodged in a holding cell. The first time Plaintiff was questioned while in custody, it was in the \nabsence of any Miranda warnings. At Kings County Central Booking, Plaintiff requested medical attention for his head, but was denied adequate care.\n\nAs a result of the defendant police officers’ false accusations, bail was set \nat $25,000, and because Plaintiff was unable to immediately post bail, he was sent to the Brooklyn House of Detention, where he remained for approximately two (2) weeks.  Plaintiff was forced to hire two (2) private criminal defense attorneys\ncosting him $23,600 to defend against these false charges.
