Not wanting to be further taunted, the group, including Plaintiff, began walking up from the park. The defendants' vehicle began to slowly drive behind the group, until Bracconeri jumped out of it sedan and began running towards the group. Out of fear, the group began running away. Plaintiff eventually split up from the group and ran east towards Grand Avenue, where he stopped running and put his hands against the wall, surrendering to Bracconeri. Bracconeri slammed Plaintiff to the ground, causing a laceration to his mouth and a contusion to his forehead. The two other unidentified NYPD officers caught up to them and one of them placed his knee in Plaintiff's back as he was on the ground being handcuffed. Plaintiff was picked up, put in a police vehicle and taken to the 52nd Precinct. Bracconeri alleged Plaintiff possessed a gun on the evening and threw it before him and the other NYPD officers.
