The defendant officers stopped Mr. Thompson and 3 other individuals, made them stand up against a fence, and asked for identification. Mr. Thompson complied, but an officer took Mr. Thompson's crutches away from him. \n\nOne of the other individuals provided a credit card, which turned out to be stolen, as identification, dropped a firearm, and fled the scene. One of the officers chased after that individual but was unable to catch him. The officers then fabricated evidence and blamed the stolen credit card and criminal possession of a firearm on Mr. Thompson. As a result, Mr. Thompson was incarcerated for almost 4 years. The case was eventually dismissed.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.493475/gov.uscourts.nysd.493475.24.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/6520044/thompson-v-cadore/"}],"id":"5D7P","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/5D7P"}
