There were a number of differences between Plaintiff and the suspect who had been caught on camera on multiple occasions. These differences included a limp, different facial features, age gap, weight difference, different hair, and clothing style. Plaintiff informed NYPD Detective Daal that she was not the person in the video, but he arrested her regardless. Plaintiff’s arm was dislocated during her arrest while she was in handcuffs. The arm did not heal for months after the arrest. Plaintiff had to spend 15 days at Rikers Island until she was able to make bail.
