One plaintiff asked the officers if they had a warrant. When the officers failed to respond, that plaintiff walked inside of his home. The officers ran the other plaintiff's name and saw that he did not have any warrants. Despite that, officers placed him under arrest. The third plaintiff asked why they were arresting the previous plaintiff, and one of the officers picked up a discarded, empty cup and responded that it was because the two plaintiffs were drinking in public. At no time did the officers observe them drink in public. When the third plaintiff was looking at the cup, the officers slammed her to the ground, choked and beat her. The plaintiff who went inside the house attempted to record the incident. That angered the officers and they broke into the home without a warrant. Another plaintiff in the house refused to let the officers in, and the officers pushed her to the ground. The officers grabbed the recording plaintiff's phone and began to beat and arrest him. Three plaintiffs were taken to the precinct and the officers falsely charged them with various crimes.
