When Mr. Challenger came to the gated door, Probation Officer Bassolino told Mr. Challenger he was under arrest and asked Mr. Challenger to open to the door. After Mr. Challenger complied, Officers Uhler, Isolano, and Caldwell entered and ordered Mr. Challenger to face the wall and place his arms behind his back. Mr. Challenger was handcuff then hit in the back of his head, pushed to the ground, and repeatedly punched in the face. Detectives Velez and Lynaugh were present, but did not intervene. At the time and during processing, Mr. Challenger was denied medical care. After processing, the Hudson County Correctional Facility ordered Mr. Challenger to be taken to a hospital. He was told by Officers Uhler, Caldwell, and Isolano not to speak about the force to medical staff. \n\nTo be clear, this incident occurred in Jersey City, in Hudson County, New Jersey.
