After providing his license and registration, Plaintiff was forcibly removed from his vehicle, and both he and the vehicle were searched without consent, probable cause, or legal justification, with no contraband found.\n\nDespite the lack of evidence, the Defendant officers placed Plaintiff under arrest by tightly handcuffing his arms behind his back. He was taken to a police precinct, then later transferred to Central Booking, where he was falsely charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon based on the officers' false claims that he possessed a switchblade and other illegal knives. Plaintiff was released after approximately 24 hours in custody. Several charges were dismissed on March 5, 2019, with the remaining charges dismissed on July 2, 2019.
