Defendants ignored plaintiff's pleas to loosen the handcuffs. Plaintiff was remanded to Rikers Island where he languished for approximately three and\na half years. During that time period, plaintiff was subjected to strip searches, assaults and batteries, fear of being assaulted by inmates and Correction Officers, countless civil rights violations, and all the attendant indignities attributable to wrongful incarceration. Plaintiff missed life events with friends and family and faced the constant dread and fear of being convicted for a murder that he did not commit.\nDefendants unlawfully targeted plaintiff because he was a black or African American male, and falsely arrested, searched, and maliciously prosecuted him. In addition, defendants violated plaintiff's right to equal protection.
