Even though plaintiff clearly and calmly explained that he was not suicidal, the police officers forcibly detained him and transported him to a hospital against his will.\n\n- On November 7, 2020, plaintiff Giovanna Sanchez-Esquivel was home when her boyfriend called 911, stating that she was having a manic episode.
