Plaintiff was assaulted and battered by defendants, being dragged out of his vehicle, beated repeatedly on the side of the vehicle and was forcefully placed in handcuffs. There was no just/reasonable cause for the actions of the defendants. Plaintiff was falsely arrested and taken into cutody and held at the 71st precint for a period before being transferred to a hospital for his injuries. On November, 24, 2022, plaintiff was transferred back to the 71st precint where he was arraigned and charged with baseless criminal charges. He was released at approximately 1am on November, 25, 2022. Defendants acted intentionally and recklessly to inflict emotional distress on plaintiff. An officer grabbed Jaklevic from behind, threw him into the air, and slammed him to the ground. Defendants then pulled Jaklevic’s left wrist, arm, and shoulder forcefully back and up his back at an unnatural angle, causing pain, and affixed flexicuffs in an excessively tight manner. Officers refused to listen to plaintiff's complaints that the cuffs were too tight and he was in pain. On the same date plaintiff de Mucha Pino began recording on her phone actions of the NYPD at a protest on the Brooklyn Bridge. Defendants ripped a metal cuff bracelet off de Mucha Pino’s wrist, causing a gash to her left arm that left a permanent scar, twisted her arms behind her back and affixed cuffs in an excessively tight manner.\nOn June 1, 2020, defendant NYPD officers tackled plaintiff Rios, forced him prostrate on the ground, struck him multiple times with a baton, and then punched him repeatedly. One or more officers sat or kneeled on top of Mr. Rios and handcuffed him with flex-cuffs with excessive tightness on the ground, impeding Mr. Rios’s breathing. Another officer stepped intentionally on Mr. Rios’s face, breaking his eyeglasses. On the same date plaintiff Ross was riding a bicycle roughly one hour after the 11:00 p.m. curfew then in effect in Manhattan. A defendant officer abruptly grabbed her handlebars throwing Ross to the street and fracturing her foot in two places.\nOn June 2, plaintiff Bredder and Zurkuhlen were each arrested by defendants employing excessive force. Defendants beat Ms. Zurkuhlen on the arms and upper body with batons, and he tackled her to the ground. Each plaintiff's hands were bound with flex-cuffs in an excessively tight manner.\nOn June 3,  plaintiff Salazar was rammed by two NYPD bicycles, began recording the police activity with her cell phone until an officer threw her against a wall, told her she was under arrest, and placed her in excessively tight flex-cuffs. On the same date plaintiff Bredder was arrested again. Defendant NYPD officers punched\nBredder on the chin and affixed excessively tight flex-cuffs. On the same date, plaintiff Pluchino was arrested. NYPD officer applied flex-cuffs to Pluchino’s wrists with extreme tightness, causing significant pain. \nOn June 4, 2020 plaintiff Sow was pepper sprayed by defendants during a protest at Mott haven. Defendants affixed overly tight flex-cuffs, and ignored Sow's hands turning purple and his pleas for medical attention. On the same date, plaintiff Durkee was grabbed and pushed to the ground by defendant officers.
