While Plaintiff was walking up the stairs, NYPD Officer Jesse Mentzel, Officer Alex Ramos, and several unidentified police officers ran past him while chasing men. Plaintiff’s aunt was not home. On Plaintiff’s way out of the building, he felt someone grab his shoulder; he was worried it was one of the men being chased by the officers, so he brushed him off and kept walking. Unbeknownst to Plaintiff, this person was an officer in plainclothes. The officer pushed Plaintiff through a door and his head hit a scaffolding pole. A different officer then slammed him into the ground. Plaintiff suffered bleeding to his head and back problems making it difficult to sit. Despite the fact that blood was everywhere, the officers refused to take Plaintiff to medical care even though he requested it. Plaintiff’s mother called 311 and demanded an ambulance be sent; one arrived and provided care. The officers arrested Plaintiff for trespass. Plaintiff was incarcerated for approximately 25 hours before seeing a judge. On March 5, 2014, Plaintiff received an ACD at arraignment. Over one year later, Plaintiff was still feeling piercing pain daily and suffering from the shakes and stiffness.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=T0LqRwfJYtKrTCEJIhKr/w==","type":"complaint"}]}],"discipline":[{"disposition_date":"2022-08-03","case_no":"2021-24052","penalty":"Training","recommendation":"Training","allegations":[{"desc":"Failed to prepare required reports."}]}],"image":"https://www.50-a.org/images/officer/6L9P-alex-ramos.jpg","payroll":{"salary":"121048","regular":"120545","overtime":"39274","other":"26648","total":"186466"},"id":"6L9P","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/6L9P"}
