Lorraine Sanchez and asked to produce identification. Mr. Gause is a disabled man. Mr. Gause asked why he needed to provide his ID. Sgt. Sanchez and Ofc. Johnny Wong began attacking Mr. Gause, violating his right to due process, engaging in assault and battery, intentional and or negligent inflicting severe physical and emotional injuries. They began using excessive and unprovoked force, punching and kicking him. Then, they took his cane and dragged him to the police car. Meanwhile, bystanders were yelling at Defendants asking them to stop and telling them that Mr. Gause was a \"sick person.\" Defendants transported Mr Gause to the 88th Pct. where they did not advise him of his arrest charge, denied him his medications, and denied him any medical attention for six hours. Later, he was finally sent to the hospital for two hours. Then, officers took him back to the 88th Pct. for another 7 hours before transporting him to Central Booking. At Central Booking, the paramedic requested that Mr. Gause be sent back to the hospital for further medical attention. Defendants ignored this request. Mr. Gause remained in custody until his arraignment on September 15th, 2012 where he was falsely charged with unlawful possession of marihuana and criminal possession of marihuana. Both claims were ultimately dismissed. While in custody for over 24 hours, Mr. Gause suffered a stroke.
