After Feliciano stopped her car adjacent to P.S. 87 park where she and Reid were meeting their daughters, Reid exited the car. As Reid walked to the back of the car, he was approached by NYPD officers TIMOTHY SEGER and STEFANO MISCIAGNA who had stopped their patrol car directly behind Feliciano's car. The officers did not activate their emergency lights before approaching Reid. In response to the officers' interrogatories, Reid explained that he was meeting his daughter in the park and that he didn't have ID. Without provocation, the officers aggressively advanced on Reid and when Reid asked why he was being stopped, the officers tackled him to the ground, verbally abused him, and struck Reid multiple times on his back, face, head, and neck. After handcuffing Reid, the officers continued to punch him in the face and body. At the 47th precinct, Reid was left in solitary confinement for several hours and denied medical attention after complaining that he couldn't see out of his right eye. Reid was taken to Bronx Central Booking but did not appear before a judge until 47 hours after his arrest. Although charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor offenses, the felony charges were eventually dropped at Reid's next court date on May 2, 2012.
