The officers had no valid arrest warrant, probable cause, or reasonable cause to approach, stop, search, seize, touch, grab, assault, batter, violate, handcuff, and detain Plaintiff in such an aggressive, offensive, and excessive manner. However, Plaintiff knowingly and falsely believes Plaintiff committed a crime. Defendants' aggressive and excessive behavior towards the Plaintiff indicated to him that the Defendants could cause the Plaintiff imminent harm and/or commit offensive bodily contact towards him. Upon arresting the Plaintiff, the Defendants took him to a police station in the Bronx and put him in the NYPD's arrest records. Defendants then fingerprinted, photographed, and detained the Plaintiff without his consent at several police stations, correctional facilities, and at the courthouse located at 215 East 161st Street, Bronx, NY. Defendants provided the Bronx County District Attorney's Office with false information to maliciously prosecute the Plaintiff for crimes he did not commit and was arraigned after his arrest. Plaintiff remained incarcerated for over 24 hours after his arraignment.\n\nAs a result of Plaintiff’s arraignment, Plaintiff was required to make numerous court appearances until the charges against him were favorably dismissed on November 21st, 2023. Because of the Defendants' actions towards the Plaintiff, the Plaintiff was deprived of his liberty for some time, and subjected to scorn, ridicule, embarrassment, and degradation of his esteem in his community personally and professionally. Furthermore, the Plaintiff suffered injuries to his head, neck, backs, body, and limbs, suffered conscious pain and suffering/other damages, and was rendered sick, sore, lame, and disabled due to severe, serious, and permanent bodily injuries. The Plaintiff is currently incurring medical expenses rendered to cure himself of his injuries and is unable to attend to his usual occupations and duties due to such injuries.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=Hp0ZSk6DLLPhM7uhqeRI6g==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"White, Cleveland vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2018-09-20","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"029121/2018E","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","officer_name":"Whooley, Michael","summary":"On October 17, 2017, Cleveland White was stopped by Officer Hossain while driving near E.
