Defendants, including PO Randy Duran, PO Jedsen Ramos, and PO Jaswant Dyal, unlawfully approached and stopped Plaintiff. After a questioning her and demanding ID, Defendants became impatient, falsely accused Plaintiff of a criminal offense, and unlawfully seized Plaintiff. In the process, they violently grabbed her body, forcefully slammed facedown onto the ground, and kept her pressed down using their legs and knees. Plaintiff was unable to breath because of this unlawful contact. Defendants forcefully contorted Plaintiff's arms behind her back to handcuff her. The handcuffs were too tight, causing Plaintiff to experience swelling, numbness, and decreased mobility in her hands. Plaintiff was then searched without justification and transported to Central Booking. She was kept in custody for 2 days before being released. Defendants falsely caused Plaintiff to be charged with Assault in the Second Degree and related offenses.
