Although the officers' search yielded no contraband or any evidence indicating Plaintiff had committed a criminal offense, including criminal possession of a firearm, they violently put Plaintiff's arm behind his back and applied excessively tight handcuffs to Plaintiff's wrists. \n\nPlaintiff was taken to the 47th Precinct where he was searched again, interrogated without presence of counsel, and detained. Plaintiff was then transported to and detained at Central Booking. The officers, including Melo, Mockel, and Stynes fabricated evidence to the DA's office and initiated a malicious prosecution against the Plaintiff, during which the officers withheld video surveillance recordings, witness statements, and other evidence.
