After plaintiff was handcuffed, one police officer said “put him in the car headfirst” Plaintiff verbally protested, but officers picked plaintiff up and carrying him parallel to the ground, and forcefully placed plaintiff headfirst into the back seat of a police car on his stomach. Police officers twisted plaintiff’s ankle and slammed the door, causing plaintiff an ankle injury and unable to stand later. Plaintiff’s request for medical attention was ignored. Eventually EMS arrived, but only applied ice pack. Plaintiff was transported to central book, where he remained for an extended period of time prior to arraignment, and after arraignment Plaintiff was sent to Rikers Island where he remained for an extended period of time prior to being released.
