Plaintiff complied, and was then illegally stopped by Officers Preira and Obrien. This incident was initiated due to Plaintiff's race. The Officers instructed Plaintiff to step out of the vehicle and physically restrained her while violently contorting her arms behind her back and handcuffing her in an excessively tight fashion, which caused further injury. The Officers searched and impounded Plaintiff's vehicle. Plaintiff was removed to the precinct, where she was illegally strip-searched by defendants, including Preira and Obrien, with attendant cavity inspections. She was then transported to central booking where she was arraigned on fraudulent charges after Defendants Preira and Obrien forwarded fabricated information to the Bronx County DA's Office. Plaintiff was eventually released from physical custody on June 1, 2020.
