One of the men indicated to the others that Christian was an accomplice to the suspect who had fled the scene. Christian was caught and then punched, kicked, choked, and wrestled to the ground. Six men pinned him to the ground and told him to “hold for the police.” P.O.s soon arrived on the scene and handcuffed Christian tightly, then pulled him up by the arm and then forced his arm behind his back after twisting it upward. Christian asked the P.O. to loosen the cuff or his arm position as it was causing him a great deal of pain. The P.O. ignored Christian and pushed him into the back of a patrol car. \n\nP.O.s took Christian to the 79th precinct. Christian complained of pain both from the handcuff and also from the beating the men had given him. Christian was not taken to the hospital but not given adequate care to address the pain in his wrist and head.
