Plaintiff had legally purchased the vehicle and held all the requisite documents and paperwork. The vehicle dealer had also applied a temporary license plate to the rear of Plaintiff's window. Due to issues regarding his vehicular insurance, Plaintiff had to acquire a second set of temporary plates, which he then placed on his rear window. Defendants Barnhold and Doe ripped off the affixed temporary plates, accused Plaintiff of driving with \"forged\" documents, and pursued charges and Plaintiff. Defendants arrested and transported Plaintiff to the precinct. On September 14, 2016, Plaintiff was arraigned and charged with possession of a forged instrument in the second degree. At the time of the incident, Plaintiff was on parole which was revoked due to the charges. Plaintiff presented a letter from the dealer demonstrating his legal ownership of the vehicle. However, due to the ongoing criminal charges, Plaintiff was taken into custody. At Plaintiff's parole hearing, Plaintiff's delinquency and parole warrant were lifted.
