During the drive to the precinct, detective Charles drove at a high speed without engaging his lights or sirens and did not place plaintiff in a safety harness or seatbelt, causing plaintiff to fear for her safety. Further, he refused to slow down, despite plaintiff's requests, and was forced to stop short to avoid hitting a truck, causing plaintiff to fly through the middle of the two front seat, nearly hitting the windshield. Plaintiff was then thrown back into her seat, injuring her pink finger and right shoulder. Plaintiff was denied medical care for her injuries.
