When plaintiff declined and attempted to leave, defendants followed him and called for backup. After several minutes of physically obstructing his path, defendants grabbed plaintiff, handcuffed him, threw him to the ground, and struck him. Plaintiff was then loaded into an ambulance that arrived and sedated.\n\nDefendant officers then jointly provided false information to the Queens DA, which resulted in plaintiff being charged with assaulting a police officer and disorderly conduct. Plaintiff was arraigned and held in custody because he could not afford to pay his bail.
