As the son exited the vehicle, an unmarked police car pulled up and parked behind him. Two male, plain-clothed officers asked him for his license and registration. He complied with their request. A discussion ensued between the mother and the officers. Plaintiff played no role in the discussion. As the conversation continued, a third officer, Zidor, arrived. Zidor approached the other officers, grabbed plaintiff, threw her on the back of the son's vehicle and handcuffed her. Plaintiff asked why she was being arrested, but Zidor refused to respond. Plaintiff was placed inside a police van and taken to the 114th Precinct. At the Precinct, a female police officer patted down plaintiff and inquired as to her arrest. Plaintiff stated she did not know why she was arrested. The officer asked Zidor, but he ignored her and walked away. The officer removed plaintiff's handcuffs and placed her in a cell. Plaintiff remained in the cell for several hours, then released with two desk appearance tickets. On February 21, 2014, plaintiff appeared at the Queens County Court.
