Leading up to that arrest, Detective Haber falsely represented statements made by a witness. Shortly after the arrest, Detective Roberts, Sergeant Pierre, and another officer physically assaulted plaintiff. After lengthy detention at the precinct, Detective Roberts and others made false statements to get charges filed. Plaintiff was held at Rikers for several months. Plaintiff was brought back to the precinct for a lineup, after which Detective Haber and other officers physically assaulted plaintiff and placed him in a chokehold.
