Mr. Tremell verbally protested his cousin's treatment. The officers then placed Mr. Tremell in handcuffs. While handcuffed, one of the officers sprayed pepper spray into Mr. Tremell's eyes. Mr. Tremell did not commit any crime and the officers had no probable cause to arrest him.\n\nMr. Tremell was taken to a nearby police precinct. The officers filed false police reports claiming that Mr. Tremell was gathered with 29 others on a sidewalk, refused to leave and bumped Police Officer Alexander Seda. The reports were forwarded them to the prosecutors at the Kings County District Attorney's Office. Mr. Tremell was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree and Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Tremell spent 50 hours in custody.
