There was a shooting near the park, and NYPD Officers told everyone in the park to leave. As Plaintiff was leaving the park with his daughter in a stroller, Police Officers began violently pushing and shoving Plaintiff and struck Plaintiff in the back with a baton. After being assaulted by officers, Plaintiff requested medical attention, and officers directed him to sit on a bench and wait for an ambulance. However, after waiting approximately ten minutes, additional officers approached Plaintiff and ordered him to leave the park. Plaintiff left the park and went to Wyckoff Hospital for treatment. Plaintiff continues to receive treatment for his injuries at Be Well Primary Care Center.
