She was arraigned and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree. At the time of her arraignment, Plaintiff was released and made numerous court appearances between April 20, 2018 and July 9, 2019 until the matter was dismissed. Plaintiff alleges that she was verbally abused, falsely arrested, falsely imprisoned and maliciously prosecuted by Defendants in a manner that was extreme, outrageous and unjustified. The officers, despite not possessing any justifiable cause, entered her home, searched her home and people there, and arrested Aponte. The officers provided misleading and false information and maliciously prosecuted her, and other officers, despite being able to intervene, did not do so. All charges against her were ultimately dismissed.
