Plaintiff langford was have a medical issue so her husband called for an ambulance. Plaintiff Lewis was worried about plaintiff langford's health, so he decided to drive her to the hospital himself.  When Plaintiff Lewis was walking Plaintiff Langford to the car, to drive her to the hospital, the Defendant Officers arrived on scene. The Defendant Officers stopped both Plaintiffs. The Defendant Officers grabbed Plaintiff Lewis and tackled him to the ground for no legal reason. The Defendant Officers elbowed Plaintiff Langford in the face for no legal reason, causing physical injury, including but not limited to a fractured jaw. Plaintiff Lewis was unlawfully arrested and handcuffed by defendant officers without legal justification or probable cause. At no point did Plaintiff Lewis resist arrest. Plaintiff Langford was not arrested. Plaintiff Lewis was then searched by Defendants Officers, and no contraband was found. Defendants then took Plaintiff Lewis to a nearby NYPD Van. Defendants then transported Plaintiff Lewis to the 113th Precinct against his will, where plaintiff was unlawfully photographed, fingerprinted and detained in a holding cell. Plaintiff Lewis was then transported from the  Precinct to Queens  Central Booking. Plaintiff Langford was transported to Long Island Jewish Hospital. \n\nThe defendant police officers provided the District Attorney's Office with the\nfalse information that plaintiff Lewis committed a crime. Specifically, the defendant police officers falsely stated to the District Attorney's Office that plaintiff Lewis was engaged in Obstructing Governmental Adminsistration.\n39. On March 20, 2019, at approximately 12:00 p.m., after 24 hours in unlawful\ncustody, plaintiff was arraigned in Queens County Criminal Court,  and was released from custody. Plaintiff Lewis hired a private criminal defense attorney for approximately $4,500 to defend these false criminal charges.
