Detective Steve Lafortune, PO Qassim Ahmed, Sergeant Sean Mitchel, Sergeant Robert Maloney and POs John Doe 1 1-15  forcibly entered into the residence, and immediately placed all of the occupants, including the Plaintiffs, in handcuffs. The officers claimed that they had entered the way they did pursuant to a search warrant that had been issued by a judge, but failed and/or refused to show or display a search warrant. If indeed true that the officers had obtained a search warrant, such a warrant was only obtained by misleading and misinforming the judge. The officers searched the premises, and nothing illegal was recovered. The officers claimed that they had recovered a \"scale\" and empty \"baggies\", but that was not true. Plaintiffs were taken out in handcuffs and brought to the precinct where they were imprisoned for several hours. \n\nThe Plaintiffs were released with desk appearance tickets that mandated that they report to court to defend themselves against criminal charges of \"Criminally using Drug Paraphernalia”. When reporting to court, Plaintiffs were informed that the court was not in possession of paperwork pertinent to their matters. On March 12, 2014, Plaintiffs were told by the court to return home, and call the court after thirty days if they did not receive any paperwork from the court within that time.
