Pierre exited his building to enter his friend's vehicle who had parked outside. He entered the vehicle, spoke with his friend, then exited and returned to his building. The police officers entered his building and detained him while accusing him of purchasing narcotics. The police then searched the vehicle and held up an empty plastic bag, and said \"cuff him.\"  The officers drove Pierre around for 6 hours and took him to both the 120th and 122nd precincts, where he was fingerprinted and searched multiple times. He was not processed until 3:00AM the next day. The defendants knew they did not have probably cause to arrest Pierre and that he committed no crimes. He was released on August 31, 2017 without going before a judge and he received a letter from the Richmond County DA's Office that the prosecution had been declined.
