The plaintiff left the area.  However, after the plaintiff later returned to the same sidewalk, Officer Lavin and Lieutenant Mahoney unlawfully stopped, frisked, and searched the plaintiff in a demeaning manner in front of the public.  They then placed the plaintiff under arrest, putting excessively tight handcuffs on the plaintiff's wrists, and held him at the 52nd Precinct, accusing him of possessing contraband that was never actually found on the plaintiff.  After subjecting the plaintiff to a humiliating strip search, NYPD personnel held the plaintiff in the precinct, still handcuffed, from approximately 10:00 pm on September 18, 2014 to 12:00 am on September 19, 2014.
