A large number of NYPD officers were present, and NYPD initiated physical confrontations with citizens, using metal barricades as a weapon/battering ram to push the crowd. Plaintiff was knocked down. Officer Vega and an unknown officer deployed pepper spray at a group of which Plaintiff was a part of. While blinded by pepper spray, Plaintiff was pushed and fell, breaking his hand in a way that required surgery.
