When Brim walked past Torres, Torres called her a ‘bitch.” Brim responded, “a bitch had you.” Torres and Turnbull handcuffed Brim and placed her under arrest without probable cause, then took her to the 32 Transit District Precinct. Brim was told she would be charged with disorderly conduct and placed in a cell. Brim then told Turnbull and Torres she recognized Turnbull from seeing him pay prostitutes on Williams Street. Torres opened the cell and Turnbull punched her in the face. Torres grabbed Brim’s throat and pushed her face into the bars. Torres threw her to the ground, where her face hit the concrete, and kept his hands around her neck while she continued to be assaulted. Brim screamed for help until Turnbull and Torres stopped; she was then taken to the hospital and then returned to the precinct. \n\nTurnbull threatened to assault Brim again on the way back to the precinct. Brim was left in the cell handcuffed and shackled and was not allowed to use the bathroom despite requests to do so. Brim was forced to urinate in the cell.
