Defendants unlawfully entered the plaintiff's home, claiming that there was a domestic disturbance report, and after being told they were in the wrong apartment, refused to leave and remained outside. Upon receiving plaintiff's identification, the defendants still refused to leave and demanded entrance to her home without lawful justification, and repeatedly bang and kick plaintiff's door and pushed out the door's peephole. The defendants pushed plaintiff to the ground and placed her into handcuffs, and called EMS staff and told them that plaintiff was an emotionally distributed person. Based on the officers' statement, plaintiff and her children were transported to the hospital, where she was evaluated by medical staff, who concluded that she was no danger to herself or others, and discharged her. Plaintiff was never formally charged with criminal offenses in connection with this incident. The case was ultimately settled in 2019.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=RFLwuRLe9P9lgXzitQYQ6w==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Johnson, Alonge, et al. vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2015-06-08","disposition_date":"2016-11-22","payout_amount":50000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"15CV04149","court":"U.S. District Court - Southern District NY","officer_name":"Burke, Ronald","summary":"Defendant Officers stopped Plaintiff while he was walking to his sister's apartment in a NYCHA building.
