After apprehending Tyree Johnson, officers conducted an unlawful search of the premises without a warrant. Plaintiffs asked officers why they were searching after apprehending the subject of the warrant, and officers started to leave. Plaintiff Crook's mother followed the officers out to determine where they were taking Tyree; plaintiff Crook's sister followed the mother out, and plaintiff Crook followed behind. Officers punched and battered Crook on the head, body, and limbs. Plaintiff Tyrone Johnson, who suffers from epilepsy, protested the assault on Crook, and officers punched and battered him on the head and body as well. Plaintiff Sade Clark, the pregnant girlfriend of plaintiff Crook, attempted to prevent the attack on Crook and was punched and battered as well. \n\nPlaintiffs Crook and Tyrone Johnson were arrested and taken to a precinct. Tyrone Johnson was released at approximately 4:00 pm on June 17, 2015 with a Desk Appearance Ticket issued by Sergeant Charles Schwartz accusing Johnson of disorderly conduct. Crook was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction of government administration, and was released on his own recognizance. The complaint was signed by Sgt. Schwartz, who alleged Lieutenant Michael Doyle had made certain allegations against Crook and Tyrone Johnson.
