POs did this solely to pressure Plaintiff into providing information regarding her brother who was involved in narcotics sales, not because they reasonably believed Plaintiff had committed a crime. POs then unlawfully entered and search Plaintiff's apartment. Plaintiff was unlawfully handcuffed and taken to the 52nd Precinct where she was criminally processed and held for several hours then taken to Central Booking. POs provided false information to initiate a malicious prosecution against Plaintiff, again in an attempt to gain information regarding Plaintiff's brother. Plaintiff was forced to attend court on 7 occasions to fight the false charges, which caused her to lose 3 jobs, until the charges against her were dismissed in their entirety on April 4, 2018.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=EwBihroCxbI71k9vjbxhuA==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Cogdell, James vs City of Ny, et al.","start_date":"2019-05-23","disposition_date":"2025-08-04","payout_amount":5000000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"026064/2019E","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","summary":"On or about November 14, 2018 at approximately 11:15 p.m. Plaintiff was lawfully on the roof of an apartment complex when he encountered POs Madison Lindeman, Richard Delahanty, Ruben Guerrero, Christopher Hansen, and John Does 1-20. As a result, Plaintiff almost died and suffered extreme, permanent injuries to his bodies including severe head trauma and multiple fractures to his legs, feet, back, and pelvis, rendering Plaintiff permanently disabled for the rest of his life. POs then transported Plaintiff to the hospital where he remained in police custody for approximately seven days before his arrested was voided or prosecution was declined.
