Defendant Officers John Doe 1 and John Doe 2  aggressively began to corner a civilian who had been recording them. This individual told the officers that his left shoulder had previously been broken and he would comply and put his hands behind his back if given the chance. John Does 1 and 2 each grabbed the individual's wrist and one of the officers knocked his cellphone out of his hand. John Doe 1 and 2 aggressively twisted the individuals arms behind his back and placed their knees in his back while grabbing his arms. The individual asked Mr. Kaminski to keep recording with his cellphone that had fallen on the ground but one of the Defendant Officers crushed the cellphone. Mr Kaminski then took out his own phone and began to record the officers assaulting the individual. Defendant John Doe 3 told Mr. Kaminski to stop filming and to back up. Mr. Kaminski began backing up but Defendant John Doe 3 began pushing Mr. Kaminski anyway.  Mr. Kaminski was pushed 3 times by John Doe 3-5 and then violently thrown to the ground by John Doe 3-5 and assaulted with their knees placed in his back. Mr. Kaminski was screaming in pain that his leg was hurt, but the officers dragged him to the police car. Instead of transporting Mr. Kaminski to the hospital, they took him to the precinct. Mr. Kaminski begged for medical attention for approximately an hour at the precinct until he was finally taken to the hospital. Mr. Kaminski suffered a fractured right hip bone, a bruised rib and a black eye.  Mr. Kaminski required a cane for almost a year after the incident. Before this incident  Mr. Kaminski never required a cane. Nunez applied a chokehold and shocked Mr. Medina 13 times with a taser. Over twenty officers responded and no one intervened. An unnamed officer slapped Mr. Medina while he was in handcuffs. Officers Siciliano and Htoo conducted an improper search both in the parking lot and also in the precinct, where they pulled down Mr. Medina's pants and left him in his boxers in full view of the precinct. Security guards pushed everyone out to the street and Mr. Stewart ran to a nearby police vehicle to seek refuge after being chased by a guard. Officers Ramos, Callan and Tavarez handcuffed Mr. Stewart and searched him without any justification. A bystander came over claiming that Mr. Stewart had been involved in the fight and kicked him in the face. Officers Ramos, Callan and Tavarez began to kick Mr. Stewart on his back and the back of his head, resulting in a broken rib and severe swelling. The officers also dragged Mr. Stewart into their vehicle, ripping up his shirt and making it hard for him to breathe, causing him to vomit. Mr. Stewart was brought to the 34th precinct and searched again, and his wallet and cell phone were confiscated. Mr. Stewart was placed into a cell for 8 hours then searched again prior to transport to Manhattan Detention Center and was then taken to the hospital to treat his broken rib. Officers falsely alleged that Mr. Stewart possessed a weapon and committed gang assault - and conveyed false and misleading information to the prosecution - despite searching him and finding nothing on him at the time of arrest.
