Indeed, the Defendants affirmatively knew that Mr. Figueroa had not committed any crimes or offenses, but they arrested him notwithstanding.\n\nMoreover, the Defendants Rivera, Dejesus, Slockbower, and the Doe falsely informed employees of the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office (“DA’s Office”) that Mr. Figueroa had committed various crimes/offenses. Such allegations were false, and the Defendants knew them to be false at the time they made the allegations. While in NYPD custody, Mr. Figueroa suffered from medical distress. The Defendants ignored Mr. Figueroa’s medical complaints and were otherwise deliberately indifferent to his medical needs and safety, causing him to\nsustain injury. Mr. Figueroa’s criminal charges were dismissed in their entirety on or about January 10, 2019.
