Officers searched him at the scene, finding no contraband. He and his girlfriend were taken to a precinct and locked up in separate cells directly across from one other. Plaintiff shared a sell with about five others. An unnamed white detective came into the cell and said \"whoever has it, just give it up,\" and then took Plaintiff out of the cell and pulled on his waistband to look inside his pants. Plaintiff, shocked, pulled back. The detective then slammed him face-down on the floor, ripped off his clothes and underwear, and began to hit, kick, and punch Plaintiff's body and face while he was naked. About 10 other officers joined in. They handcuffed Plaintiff and took him to a different cell where he was detained alone. Plaintiff had to receive medical attention at a hospital as a result of his injuries. The officers claimed to have recovered marijuana from Plaintiff to justify their actions. Plaintiff was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, harassment and attempted assault. On June 23, 2016, Plaintiff's charges were dismissed.
