Defendants then arrested the Plaintiff despite lacking probable cause or reasonable suspicion to believe that Plaintiff had committed any crimes or offense. In arresting and placing handcuffs on the Plaintiff, the Defendants used excessive force and assaulted and battered. The Defendants then transported the Plaintiff to the police precinct and to central booking. At the precinct, the officers falsely informed employees of the New York County District attorney’s office that they had observed the Plaintiff commit various crimes/offenses even though neither Officer Solomon nor the Doe defendants observed the Plaintiff violating any laws/ordinances. \n\nOn or about July 14, 2021, at or around 12:00 p.m., the Plaintiff was lawfully\nwithin the vicinity of 87 Monument Walk, when several unidentified New York City Police Officers, including Defendants Officer Arnaud Polynice and Doe Defendants approached and unlawfully searched the Plaintiff, despite no reasonable suspicion or other lawful basis to do so. At that time, the Plaintiff was exiting Brooklyn central booking when the Defendant officers assaulted and battered the Plaintiff,\nand used excessive force against him without any legal justification or provocation on the part of the Plaintiff. Specifically, Defendant officers tackled the Plaintiff from behind, pushed him to the floor, and sat on his head while the Plaintiff was laying on the floor bleeding from his nose and head. The Defendant officers recovered no contraband. Defendants then arrested the Plaintiff despite lacking probable cause or reasonable suspicion to believe that Plaintiff had committed any crimes or offense. The Defendants then transported the Plaintiff to the police precinct and to central booking. At the precinct, the officers falsely informed employees of the King's County District Attorney's office that they had observed the Plaintiff commit various crimes/offenses even though neither Defendants had observed the Plaintiff violating any law/ordinances. At the precinct, the Plaintiff complained about pain in his head, neck and back. Plaintiff was eventually taken to a hospital, and then returned back to the precinct.
