Plaintiff was not committing any illegal or criminal act. Plaintiff was then hospitalized, and defendants falsely claimed that plaintiff possessed firearms and was resisting arrest. Plaintiff was thereafter arrested with tight handcuffs, causing substantial pain, and transported to a police precinct where he was processed, searched, and detained. While detained, plaintiff was not protected against his inmates, who assaulted him and caused injuries on his head. During arraignment plaintiff was falsely prosecuted with committing a crime, but all charges against plaintiff were eventually dismissed in his favor.
