She was arrested at the army base when the background check showed there was an outstanding bench warrant for her arrest in New York State. However, plaintiff was not actually the wanted individual. Despite this, plaintiff was taken into custody by Military Police officials and taken to a holding cell at Fort Bragg, despite plaintiff's protests that she was the wrong person. Without ever investigating or verifying the allegations, defendant NYPD officers informed the military police that Plaintiff was the subject of the warrant. \n\nPlaintiff was held from July 22, 2014 until August 7 2014 at Cumberland County Sherriff's Department jail. Plaintiff insisted that they confirm her fingerprints, and though they were taken and confirmed not to be a match to the wanted individual, Plaintiff was not released. She was at some point transferred to Riker's in New York, where she was released on August 28, 2014. Plaintiff then returned to Fort Bragg on October 9, 2014, to restart her job application process. However, the same bench warrant was still outstanding, and plaintiff was again arrested and sent to Rikers. After this, she returned to Fort Bragg, where Corporal Jimenez arrested her yet again due to the same mix-up.
