They immediately handcuffed plaintiffs and placed them in the living room. Plaintiffs complained that the handcuffs were too tight but the officers refused to loosen them. The officers searched plaintiffs and found no contraband. Eventually, they forcibly removed plaintiffs from the premises and transported them to a precinct where they subjected plaintiffs to a visual body cavity search, forcing them to undress, bend over, and squat and cough, while naked. Still no contraband was found. The officers falsely stated to prosecutors that plaintiffs committed crimes. Upon arraignment, the charges against plaintiffs were summarily dismissed.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.467905/gov.uscourts.nyed.467905.17.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/60115314/rutledge-v-the-city-of-new-york/"}],"discipline":[{"disposition_date":"2018-06-18","case_no":"2018-19065","penalty":"Vacation days (15 days)","charges":[{"desc":"While off-duty, failed to properly safeguard his service firearm","disposition":"Guilty"}]}],"id":"C6XT","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/C6XT"}
