Barrett cut and removed their metal fence and stone from their property. The responding NYPD officers investigated the complaint and deemed it to be a civil dispute. Pacheco and Lugo went to the 84th Precinct and generated a new complaint with the help of Officer Michael Hidalgo reiterating their false statements. On August 30, 2018, Officer Raymond White informed Barrett that he had to arrest her. Officer White stated that he was not going to arrest Barrett at the time but wanted to if he could since he knew where she lived and worked. Officer White and the NYPD knew there was no probable cause to arrest Barrett. The NYPD created a \"Wanted Flyer\" for Barrett with instructions to distribute to \"non-law enforcement personnel\", \"news media\", and the Incident Notification Response Unit. Officer White requested that an NYPD investigation card be issued to apprehend Barrett. On September 7, 2018, around 8pm, Barrett was in front of her building when Pacheco & Lugo called the NYPD. The responding officers were from the 84th Precinct except for Officer Hidalgo who was from the 75th Precinct. Officer Hidalgo arrested Barrett without any probable cause. Barrett was placed in handcuffs by NYPD, wrongfully detained and arrested, taken to the 84th Precinct, placed in a cell behind bars and charged with crimes she did not commit, before she was released after several hours. On October 21, 2018, the NYPD filed Felony Criminal Complaint against Barrett. Barrett was arrested and prosecuted until June 12, 2019, when the prosecution requested the dismissal of the charges.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.477692/gov.uscourts.nyed.477692.11.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/63187775/barrett-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Barrett, Clover M. vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2020-02-27","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"526654/2019","court":"Supreme Court - Kings","officer_name":"Hidalgo, Michael","summary":"On or about September 7th, 2018, Plaintiff was unlawfully detained and arrested by PO Raymond White and PO Micheal Hidalgo.
