Officer Albergo violently grabbed Plaintiff Hasnain's head, slamming her to the ground, causing her to lose consciousness and sustain a concussion. Simultaneously, Plaintiff Mejia was dragged to the ground and injured, with his arm forcibly extended, causing damage to his left elbow and arm. Both plaintiffs were handcuffed excessively tightly and arrested without probable cause. The officers did not read them their rights or offer a summons but instead transported them to the 28th Precinct in a prisoner transport vehicle, where they were detained for 5-7 hours, subjected to unreasonable large-scale arrest processing due to their involvement in the protest. Plaintiffs were not offered any phone call while in custody. When held in police custody, plaintiff was refused to get medical treatment and when plaintiff was later sent to the hospital, the nurses refused to take pictures of his injuries at the request of the supervisor.
