Sutherland, along with unnamed NYPD officers, approached plaintiff and unlawfully stopped, question, assaulted, battered, frisked and falsely arrested plaintiff without probably cause or legal justification. Plaintiff was pushed to the ground by a defendant NYPD Officer, then tackled to the ground. Defendant officers began punching plaintiff, including in his face, after which he was handcuffed excessively tightly, searched and arrested. \n\nPlaintiff was transported to the 76th Precinct, where he was processed and detained. Plaintiff requested medical attention at the precinct, which was refused by defendant officers. Plaintiff again requested medical attention at Central Bookings, wherein he was transported to SUNY Downstate Hospital and received medical attention for a black eye as well as lesions/contusions on his hands and wrists. \n\nDefendant police officers provided false evidence to the DA's office. Plaintiff was arraigned after being held unlawfully for approximately 30 hours.
